Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress, who also works as a television hostess and comedian. The patient suffered from multiple organ failures, and her kidneys were not able to recover. The process of peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis later changed her life to a new normal. After nearly 80 days in the hospital, from near-death to long road towards recovery, she got home, however her life forever changed. Angelica was, following a full half-year of dialysis, and one year half year of treatment, was ready to undergo the biggest surgery ever - an organ replacement. Her mother was the sole one who could donate the kidney. Angelica Hale, along with her mother underwent the transplant of a kidney in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta as well as Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13th 2013. Angelica Hale's desire to become an international star has not waned.
