Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is an American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. After a brief stint as a model in the fashion industry, she quickly transitioned to acting when she appeared as guest actors on television shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. She made her film debut in 1997's dramatic film Nowhere. The performances she made in American Beauty, for which she received an BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more public attention. She's appeared alongside American Pie's co-star Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) and then played the main character in Sugar & Spice (2001).
